Coronavirus – Flu vaccine available free of charge from Oct 20
The flu vaccine will be available free of charge to everyone from their GP from October 20, Chief Medical Officer Cecilia Müller said on Thursday.
She told a press conference of the operative body responsible for handling the epidemic response that two types of vaccine would be available. One is for children aged between 6 and 35 months, of which 4,000 doses of it will be available.
The other is for adults and children above the age of 3, she added. Children between the ages of 3 and 12 would receive half a dose of the adult vaccine, she said.
What’s most important is that the most vulnerable, including those suffering from underlying diseases and people aged above 60, as well as health workers and social care home employees and residents, get vaccinated, she added.
